Hyunsung Nam Ph.D.

Hyunsung pursued his BS and ph.D degrees in Chemistry at Seoul National University, specializing in drug discovery and microbial peptide-modifying enzymes. With a keen interest in various biochemical topics, he recently joined here to learn about multiomics, which is rapidly becoming a new gold-standard method. His ultimate goal is to modify skin-resident bacteria, and he is racing down the research track like a runaway locomotive. In his free time, he enjoys playing futsal with friends and sharing stories about life.

Brian Lee / 이효형 Ph.D.

Brian graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016 with a degree in economics. Brian worked from 2017-2022 in New York at the Human Immune Monitoring Center (HIMC) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai where he led the CyTOF platform working with multi-academic and industry collaborators for designing and optimizing CyTOF translational and clinical studies. He also led the development of computational tools for data processing and analysis of CyTOF and imaging CyTOF datasets. He is now  researching the development and commitment of precursor cells into the various T cell lineages in the thymus and their role in cancer and various auto-immune diseases. In his free time, Brian likes to hike and watch movies.

Soyoung Jeong Ph.D.

Soyoung graduated with a BS majoring in microbiology & immunology from McGill University. She completed her Master's at Seoul National University studying antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections. She worked for two years at CJ Cheiljedang working on microbiome based live biotherapeutic product development using high throughput screening tools. She then obtained her Ph.D. degree in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at SNU. She is now building a single-cell atlas of chronic inflammatory skin diseases and studying the role of immune cells in these diseases using multiomics approaches. In her free time, she likes to travel.
